 | Pastor Art Mott came to be the pastor of Niemonds Independent Church in the fall of 1998 after twenty years in a fractured church ministry. The independent ministry was called "Christian Enrichment." During that period of time, Pastor Art and his family went into four churches that had either voted to close their doors, or had suffered a terrible fracture (split) and led in the restoration of that work by grounding them in the Word of God and developing a scriptural centered ministry.
After these years of serving in that capacity, the Lord let Pastor Art to accept the call to be the Pastor here in RIchfield. He is humbled to be used of God in these valleys and is excited about what the Lord is doing as we continue to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior.
Pastor Art has two Bachelor of Arts degrees in General Education and in Pastoral Studies and a Masters in Pastoral Studies.
He has been married to the former Joyce Paige since 1977. They have three grown children and five grandchildren. Pastor Art believes that the centralty of worship is in the exposition of God's Word and is called on frequently to share in Bible Conferences, seminars, Deeper Life Conferences and other events. He also continues to offer his services and experience to struggling churches by way of meetings, seminars, counseling and other events. He is currently working on a book entitled, "All This and We Settle for That." Pastor Art is also humbled to be used of God as a gifted soloist and does concerts as time permits.
He has cheerfully led this very historic rural church from an average attendance of 55 to an average attendance over 300 and a new facility.
For information about the church or about opportunities to schedule Pastor Art in either a speaking or concert event, please call the church office or email us. |
| Pastor Steve Osenga has accepted the call of God to become the Associate Pastor at Niemonds Independent Chuch as of April 19, 2009.
Pastor Steve, known as "Steve-O," has faithfully served his Lord and Savior since 1969 when he became a born-again Christian. He attended St. Paul Bible College and since then has served as Assistant Pastor, Pastor of Visitation, Church Planter, and Senior Pastor. He now has accepted the call to be of assistance to Pastor Art Mott of Niemonds Independent Church. His job duties will involve teaching Adult Sunday School, Visitation, Hospital Visits, and Life Group ministries. He also will fill the pulpit for Pastor Art in his absence as well as perform other ministries.
Pastor Steve is married to Shirley Ann Osenga and they have four children and nine grandchildren.
Pastor Osenga was asked if he knew when the Lord would return for His people and he said "yes," based on Matthew 24:14. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come." That is his desire, to tell others about Jesus Christ and spread His salvation to all the world. When that is done, Jesus will come again. Hallelujah! | |
