Office Hours for the Church Secretary: The secretary is in the office from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday.
"I'd like a copy of a sermon... what do I do?" Well, we hope to have taken care of this... There are now labels available on the table by the main door. Please take a label and fill in the appropriate information. Then put the entire label in the container on the sound table. Sound techs will make the copy of the CD yhou want, and place the label with your name on the CD and try to have it on the table for you the following week.
Debt Reduction Sunday:
On August 1st, the offerings in both services will go directly to the reduction of our mortgage debt. Please note that the only monies that will not be put towards the mortgage debt on that Sunday are those that are specifically designated elsewhere on your envelope or check. Please pray and ask God what sacrificial gift He would have you give as we seek to be great stewards of the Great Provider.
Brief Congregational Meeting: Sunday, August 1st at 9:45 am
During the last 15 minutes of Sunday School on August 1st, the Council has called for a brief congregational meeting so that monies from the Vision Fund can be used to provide proper drainage around our building and parking areas. This is a necessary task before we can move forward on any paving or future building projects. It will provide drainage collection boxes at locations around the perimeter of the property, as well as underground drainage from the downspouts of the building. All of this will then be funneled into the drainage areas on the front lawn of the property. The cost will be under $17.000.00. If you have any questions concerning this prior to the vote, please see one of the Council members listed below[Brian Hassinger, Dan Seaman, Tim Brubaker, Jeremy Goodling, Randy Brubaker, Amy Stuck, Theron Graybill, Rusty Maneval or Chop Troutman]. Randy Brubaker is the chairman of our Building and Grounds committee. The Sunday School hour will be shortened that morning so that we can have a secret ballot regarding this issue. Members 16 and older may vote.
BASKET AUCTION…
Each year Niemonds Independent Church hosts a Basket Auction at Village Merchants, Richfield. All proceeds of the auction go to the Vision Fund. All of the baskets are donated by the congregation and then we have a fun evening with Bob Leitzel auctioning them off. The baskets/containers can be almost anything - children’s toys, books, baby supplies, laundry & cleaning, automobile, food items, babysitting, movies, etc. You are encouraged to use your imagination as you donate one or more baskets filled with whatever theme of things you choose.
Details: The auction will be held Saturday evening, September 25th. All baskets are to be at the church no later than NOON on Monday, September 20th (You may start bringing them at any time and placing them in the rear of the auditorium). Baskets are to be wrapped in clear plastic with a card or note attached to the outside listing the contents of the basket/container.
Women’s Fellowship will be organizing the basket and creating a master list at their meeting on September 20th.
Thanks for helping; we look forward to a great night!

Ministry to Haiti
Davin Sheaffer will be going to Haiti August 8-16, 2010. He will be travelling with George, Lori & Georgie Losch to a mission compound called “ChristianVille.” Since New Missions cannot accept missionaries at this time, this will be a time of working and getting familiar with a different mission compound before George and Lori take groups there in the near future.
Davin will have 2 suitcases that he can fill with things that would bless the Mission and the Haitians. If you would like to give, there will be a box in the back of the church designated for this, or you can see Davin with donations. Suggestions. Neosporin triple antibiotic ointment (or store brand),BandAids,Zip Lock bags (quart and gallon sizes –they use about 150 of each size each month for a senior citizen feeding), Black trash bags, School or Office supplies (crayons, pens, printer paper, paper clips, staples, index cards, etc.), Terro or Combat gel for ants, Combat gel for roaches, Canned tuna or chicken, Peanut butter, Taco shells and seasoning, Packets of instant oatmeal. Thank you and may God bless you!
A Baptismal Service is being planned for this summer on August. 22nd. Please contact Pastor Mott or the church office if you wish to participate.
Care Packages for Soldiers… We are in the process of obtaining addresses of soldiers connected to the Niemonds Church family serving overseas. If you have a family member in the armed forces, please make sure the church office has a complete name and mailing address so that we can support them through an encouraging care package.

FACILITIES COMMITTEE: Please be in prayer for the facilities committee. They are Jody & Kim Graybill, Tim & Julia Brubaker and Rusty & Deb Maneval. Brian & Mia Hassinger will serve as the alternates. You may contact any of these folks with any prayerful ideas that you might have for our future sanctuary and building needs. We would humbly ask that all of the congregation commit to praying for this committee, for the leadership of Niemonds and for the future ministry of edification and outreach to God’s glory.
GIVING ANNOUNCEMENT: Some have been giving to the building fund and it is unclear as to whether you want that to go to ‘debt reduction’ or to the vision fund for the new sanctuary. Please mark your check or envelope clearly. All monies marked building fund or vision fund will be placed in the vision fund account. All monies designated to debt reduction should be put in the general fund or marked ‘mortgage.’ Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
