SNOW CANCELLATION POLICY: The policy of Niemonds Independent Church is that we will NOT cancel morning worship services due to inclement weather. We rely on your individual judgment as to whether it is safe for you to travel to worship or not. However, additional ministries may be cancelled.

 Niemonds Independent Church is Starting 2 Sunday Morning Worship Services!

  Service times Begin January 4 -

        8 am – Worship/Nursery

        9:15 am – Sunday School

        10:15 am – Worship/Nursery

                Children’s Church

Both Services will include Songs and Hymns of Praise and The Same Message will be preached at each service
 

NIEMOND’S PRAYER CHILDREN MINISTRY: At Niemonds we are committed to seeing each child (infant through college age) supported through prayer. In order to be effective in doing this, parents are asked to fill out a prayer child information form and attach a picture of their child to this form. The cards are returned to Janet Landis’ mailbox and then individuals/couples in the congregation are given a card to be a prayer partner for that child and remembering them on special occasions. If your child does not have a prayer partner, please pick up a form on the table in the rear of the auditorium, complete it and return it so that we can be sure all of our children are covered in prayer.

Those in our congregation who are able to, should park in the far parking area so that the spots around the building and in the front parking area are reserved for others.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

WE are looking for additional Sunday School teachers/substitute teachers and helpers for various age groups.  Please pray regarding this opportunity and contact Dan Seaman. 463-9018

            

LADIES FELLOWSHIP IS COLLECTING ITEMS FOR THE JUNIATA COUNTY FOOD PANTRY. Needs for January are: dish soap, all purpose household cleaners and laundry detergent. Items can be placed in the Food Pantry Bin located near the mailboxes. If you have any questons regarding this, contact Laura Chubb - 717.694.3617.
 

FACILITIES COMMITTEE: Please be in prayer for the newly formed facilities committee. They are Jody & Kim Graybill, Tim & Julia Brubaker and Rusty & Deb Maneval. Brian & Mia Hassinger will serve as the alternates. You may contact any of these folks with any prayerful ideas that you might have for our future sanctuary and building needs. We would humbly ask that all of the congregation commit to praying for this committee, for the leadership of Niemonds and for the future ministry of edification and outreach to God’s glory.

GIVING ANNOUNCEMENT: Some have been giving to the building fund and it is unclear as to whether you want that to go to ‘debt reduction’ or to the vision fund for the new sanctuary. Please mark your check or envelope clearly. All monies marked building fund or vision fund will be placed in the vision fund account. All monies designated to debt reduction should be put in the general fund or marked ‘mortgage.’ Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
