Niemonds Care & Share Ministry
We will be having a goods “swap” periodically. During designated times, you may bring in specific requested items that you no longer need/want. We will sort and organize them. Then anyone in the church may come to take what they may need/want. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BRING SOMETHING TO TAKE SOMETHING. (Maybe you’ll have something to bring another time…) There will be a monetary donation box available on the Swap Day for anyone who feels led to leave something. All money collected will go to the Vision Fund. At the close of the day, all items remaining will be packed up and taken to Care and Share.
Plan now for our next Care & Share Swap... The Care & Share Giveaway of Holiday Decor was postponed and will be combined with a swap of Ladies Clothing and accessories, on Saturday, April 24th at 9:00 am. Items may be dropped off in the overflow/L-shaped room beginning Sunday, April 18th through Tuesday, April 20th.
Any questions, call Kim Watts (717.589.3997) or Mia Hassinger (717.463.2875).
Please note: Courtland Hoffman will be collecting magazines and glossy inserts as a recycling project for Ronald McDonald House for his senior project. A box will be situated under the mailboxes for your donations until April.
Care Packages for Soldiers... We are sending care packages to 26 soldiers connected to the Niemonds Church Family who are serving overseas. If you have a family member in the armed forces serving overseas, please make sure the church office has a complete name and mailing address so that we can support them through an encouraging care package. To date we have sent out 50 care packages. Cost for shipping each package is $12.50. If you would like to contribute towards mailing costs, please see Betty Peters or Linda McFadden or put your contribution in the Americana box on the back table or in the offering designated "Soldier Care Packages." Thank you for your generous support.
Reprinted original Niemond's Church Cookbooks are available for a cost of $10. See Ruth Hoffman or Betty Peters for a copy. NEW NIEMONDS CHURCH COOKBOOKS CAN BE PURCHASED AT A COST OF $12.00 EACH.
Attention: Men's Fellowship would like to help out with any yard or household needs within the congregation. If you need help with something, please contact Brad Kersetetter,463-3487.
Ladies Fellowship has a “Patches of Love” ministry to serve Christ by helping others who are experiencing hardship. This ministry involves using creative skills (crocheting, knitting, embroidery, sewing, quilting, etc.) with willing hearts and hands to bring comfort to others. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact Sherri Sheaffer (694-9118).
LADIES FELLOWSHIP IS COLLECTING ITEMS FOR THE JUNIATA COUNTY FOOD PANTRY. Needs for March are: non-perishable food items, first aid supplies: otc pain & cold medicines, bandages, antibiotic ointment, cough drops, q-tips, and feminine hygiene products. Items can be placed in the Food Pantry Bin located under the mailboxes. If you have any questons regarding this, contact Laura Chubb - 717.694.3617.
Operation Christmas Child: For the month of March we will be collecting small toys (slinkies, bouncy balls, yo-yos, playdoh, McDonald's toys, small dolls, etc.). Items can be place in the box under the mailbox area.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE:
Those in our congregation who are able to, should park in the far parking area so that the spots around the building and in the front parking area are reserved for others. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

FACILITIES COMMITTEE: Please be in prayer for the facilities committee. They are Jody & Kim Graybill, Tim & Julia Brubaker and Rusty & Deb Maneval. Brian & Mia Hassinger will serve as the alternates. You may contact any of these folks with any prayerful ideas that you might have for our future sanctuary and building needs. We would humbly ask that all of the congregation commit to praying for this committee, for the leadership of Niemonds and for the future ministry of edification and outreach to God’s glory.
GIVING ANNOUNCEMENT: Some have been giving to the building fund and it is unclear as to whether you want that to go to ‘debt reduction’ or to the vision fund for the new sanctuary. Please mark your check or envelope clearly. All monies marked building fund or vision fund will be placed in the vision fund account. All monies designated to debt reduction should be put in the general fund or marked ‘mortgage.’ Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
