Nursery and Toddler Ministry
Nursery and Toddler classes are held during the second service only, and are held int he last two classrooms at the end of the hall. Nursery is for babies from birth through one year old. Toddlers is for two and three year olds. Our goal is to provide loving care to your babies and toddler so you are able to be part of the worship service. Mary Lou Carvell and Beth Ehrisman oversee this department with the help of many volunteers.
Junior Mints
Throughout the year, the 3rd-6th graders meet for an afternoon of fun and fellowship. Activities include bowling, holiday crafts, games and so much more! Children are invited to participate in the age-appropriate activities as they learn about God. Times and dates for future events are listed in the bulletin.
Summer Camping Program...
There are still brochures available on the back table of the church for our youth to attend the summer camping program at Camp Susque. Since this is the first year that we will be attempting to have a "regular" camping program, we are asking that parents read the brochure carefully and choose a week for your child to attend. Please inform the church as to the week selected, so that when a decision is made with regards to financial help for the church's youth you can be notified.
Sunday School
Sunday School is a vital ministry at Niemonds and there are various classes for every age group. Sunday School meets from 9:00 - 10:00 am. Children's classes offered are as follows:

CHILDREN’S CHURCH
This is a ministry for children age 4 through 2nd grade which takes place on Sunday morning during the second church service (10:15 am) Children are dismissed midway through the service and then divide into two classes using the classrooms across from the nursery and toddler rooms. The younger class is for age 4 through kindergarten, and the older class is first and second graders.
The goal of Children's Church is to have some type of lesson for the children and not to simply entertain them. If a child doesn't want to listen to the lesson or participate in the activity, it would be best if they stayed with their adult unless they are ready for this. We also feel children it is important for children to be in the worship service - to see an entire service and to learn to sit through one, so at various times throughout the year children will be notified to remain in the service.
VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Vacation Bible School will be held Sunday, July 18 through Thursday, July 22 from 6:00 - 8:30 pm.
Children's Choir
The children's choir is for children ages preschool through sixth grade and meets seasonally to provide special music for morning worship. Announcements for practices are generally listed in the bulletin. The Children's Christmas program is performed in December either on a Sunday morning or Sunday evening, and practices usually begin in the fall. The program generally consists of recitations, short skits, group singing, solos and instrumental solos. For more information contact Kim Watts.
